Jake Gobar – Chief Accounting Officer
Jake Gobar is the Chief Accounting Officer of WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Mr. Gobar served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Concho Resources until the merger with ConocoPhillips. Mr. Gobar also held accounting leadership positions with Memorial Resource Development Corp., VAALCO Energy, Inc., and Sunoco Logistics. Mr. Gobar started his career in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Gobar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy from Texas State University, and he is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of Texas.
Vedran Vuk, CFA – Vice President, Finance
Vedran Vuk is the Vice President of Finance at WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, he served as the Director of Investor Relations at WildHorse Resource Development. Previously, he was a senior equity research analyst covering the exploration & production sector at Wunderlich Securities. He began his career in oil & gas as a mergers & acquisitions analyst at BBVA Compass. Over his career, Mr. Vuk has participated in $7 billion of transactions including bond offerings, equity offerings, and mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Vuk received a Master of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Loyola University of New Orleans. He is also a CFA charter holder.
David Zipps – Vice President, Reservoir Engineering
David Zipps is the Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, he served in various engineering and management roles at Anadarko Petroleum and WildHorse Resource Development. Most recently, he served as Director Reservoir Engineering, at WildHorse until the company was acquired by Chesapeake in 2019. Prior to joining WildHorse, Mr. Zipps spent 11 years with Anadarko where he served as the Permian Business Development Manager. Here, Mr. Zipps led a multi-disciplinary team in Midland, TX focusing on Delaware Basin A&D. Mr. Zipps holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Independent Producers Association of America.
Amir Radfar – Vice President, Information Technology
Amir Radfar is the Vice President of Information Technology at WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Mr. Radfar served as VP of Information Technology at WildHorse Resource Development Corporation (NYSE:WRD) and WildHorse Resources II LLC from August 2009 until February 2019. From 1999 to 2009, Mr. Radfar held various positions in Information Technology at IS Support, Dell and other companies, primarily serving energy clients. Mr. Radfar has extensive experience in IT Strategy, Cyber Security, Data Management, Acquisition Integration, Systems Integration, Analytics, and Innovation. He is an active member of Infragard, a joint taskforce with the FBI, specifically concerned with the security of, vulnerabilities in, and threats to critical infrastructure in the energy sector. Mr. Radfar holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Baylor University.
Leroy Kuhn – Vice President, Operations
Leroy Kuhn is the Vice President of Operations at WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Mr. Kuhn served as Vice President of Operations for WildHorse Resources Development Corporation (NYSE:WRD) from July 2018 until February 2019. Mr. Kuhn began his career in 1987 and held various engineering and management roles with Citation Oil and Gas, Manti Operating Company and Breitburn Energy prior to joining WildHorse. Mr. Kuhn has extensive experience with production, facilities and drilling in the Gulf Coast, offshore, Permian Basin, and Mid Continent regions. Mr. Kuhn received his Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas.
Ryan Doucette – Vice President, Geoscience
Ryan Doucette is the Vice President of Geoscience for WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Mr. Doucette served as Staff Geologist for WildHorse Resource Development Corporation (NYSE:WRD) from August 2017 until the company’s sale in 2019. Mr. Doucette joined Anadarko Petroleum in 2012, where he led various unconventional development and exploration programs until 2016. Prior to joining WildHorse, Mr. Doucette enhanced his financial acumen at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Doucette received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Norbert College and Master of Science in hydrogeology from Illinois State University.
Lisa Fortson – Vice President, Controller
Lisa Fortson is the Vice President, Controller for WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Ms. Fortson served as Financial Accounting Director for WildHorse Resource Development Corporation (NYSE:WRD) from August 2012 until the company’s sale in 2019. Prior to joining WildHorse, Ms. Fortson started her career in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Fortson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and she is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of Texas.
Jean-Paul Michel – Vice President, Drilling
Jean-Paul Michel leads our drilling program as Vice President, Drilling, bringing two decades of experience to WildFire Energy. Jean-Paul began his career in Drilling and Operations with ExxonMobil and continued to gain a range of experience, executing best-in-class drilling and completion programs for Forest Oil Corporation and Memorial Resource Development culminating with the successful sale of each company. Prior to joining WildFire Energy, Jean-Paul served as a contract Drilling & Completions Advisor with HTK Consultants where he managed drilling, workover, and completion operations, for several independent operators located in the East Texas Haynesville and Cotton Valley, South Texas Eagle Ford, Gulf Coast Conventional, and the drilling operations for Wildfire Energy’s Brazos Valley Eagle Ford and Woodbine formations. Jean-Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
Rachel Henn – Vice President, Completions & Burleson Sand Mine
Rachel Henn is the Vice President of Completions and the Burleson Sand Mine at WildFire Energy. Prior to WildFire, Ms. Henn grew her engineering expertise working as a Production Enhancement Engineer with Halliburton Energy Services before moving to WildHorse Energy in 2013. While at WildHorse, Ms. Henn provided oversight in both Completions and Production, supervising operations of vertical and horizontal wells in the Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, Woodbine, and Cotton Valley formations, while simultaneously managing the in-house sand logistics for their self-sourced frac sand. Ms. Henn continued her career progression as a Senior Operations Engineer for both Gavilan Resources and Crescent Pass Energy, before joining WildFire Energy in 2021. Ms. Henn holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama.
Joel Johnson – Vice President, Land
Joel Johnson is the Vice President of Land for WildFire Energy, where he has served in roles of increasing responsibility since 2022. Joel’s career began at Occidental Petroleum Corporation in 2010, gaining experience in numerous Land roles supporting OXY’s Mid-Continent, California, Williston, and Permian business units. Joel later joined Alta Resources LLC in 2017 where he served as Staff Land Negotiator, developing the company’s Marcellus assets until its sale to EQT Corporation in 2021. Joel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma.
Adrienne Bond – General Counsel
Prior to joining WildFire, Ms. Bond served as an attorney in the private practice of law in Houston, Texas, specializing in energy finance transactions. Ms. Bond has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Houston Law Center, is a past president of the Houston Women’s Finance Exchange, has served on several committees of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association, and was honored as an “Influential Woman in Energy” by Hart Energy in 2024. Ms. Bond is a frequent author and lecturer for the continuing education programs of the State Bar of Texas and the University of Austin. Ms. Bond holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rice University, a Juris Doctor from The Columbia University School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Colorado.
